We’ve decided to forgo the usual rants and ramblings that seem to be a recipe prerequisite these days. Instead, let’s get right to it. This is a delicious, mostly healthy smoothie that helps satisfy your sweet cravings.


1 scoop Chocolate protein powder. We prefer WelleCo. It’s pea protein instead of soy, and doesn’t have a horrid chalkiness.

1-2 tablespoons of almond butter. Trader Joe’s is the best on the planet, don’t even try to convince me otherwise.

1/2 frozen banana. (Tip: If you want a little extra sweetness, freeze the bananas when they’re more ripe.)

1 cup+ almond milk. Whichever kind. And just guess on the amount. Plus or minus depending on if you like it thicker or smoother.


Optional ingredients

Chia seeds blended in or on top of the smoothie. Great for extra protein and a boost of antioxidants and fiber.

Flaxseed oil blended into the smoothie. Helps with inflammation, skin and digestion.

Cinnamon sprinkled on top. Great for inflammation and helps lower blood sugar.


1. Combine all ingredients.

2. Blend.

3. Top with chia or cinnamon.
